This is my second time partnering with Biird, who are a female-led pleasure positive brand. Their mission is ‘to dispel the taboo surrounding sex toys and other products designed specifically to make you feel good‘ and their toys are just about the cutest, squishiest, most non-threatening sex toys you could possibly buy.
The first Biird toy I got my hands on was the Evii mini vibrator (reviewed here) and now they have released the chunkier Biird Namii; a vibrator, a clitoral stimulator/sucker and a night light all in one!

If you’re currently wondering what to treat your wife or girlfriend to this Christmas, and they claim not to want anything, then get them this. You can thank me later.
What’s the deal with clitoral stimulators/suckers?
I talked before about the orgasm gap and why women, on average, get the rough end of the deal when it comes to sexual pleasure. There is a myth that women’s orgasms are somehow more difficult to achieve than men’s, but it just isn’t true. Given the right stimulation, there is nothing easier, and it can be done over, and over, and over. However in general you really need to get the clitoris involved as it’s estimated that fewer than 10% of women can climax through penetration alone.
The clitoris contains more than 10,000 nerve fibres, making it more sensitive than Elon Musk on Twitter. It provides no reproductive purpose – it is literally just there to provide pleasure – and yet it gets roundly ignored way too often.
That’s where clitoral stimulators (or ‘clit suckers’) come (ha) in.

They provide battery-powered localised stimulation directly to the most sensitive part if your body with big results. Traditionally, vibrators were the only option, but now you can get toys like the Biird Namii which can stimulate all the nerve fibres inside the clit and not just the ones on the surface. The result – if you’re already in the mood – is a near instant orgasm.
Who are Biird?
Biird make really non-threatening sex toys for clitoris-having people as well as a range of really cute merch, which happens to be adorned with clitorides (yes, that’s the plural of clitoris. I googled it). I think they’re fantastic – most people won’t have a clue what they are (which isn’t so fantastic) so you can wear them round your grandma’s or on the bus, and start off a conversation.

Their aim is to empower women to take control of their sexuality – not hide it away.
The toys are cute, they’re squishy and they’re totally unintimidating, and a great way to start up a toy collection if the Fistomatic 4000 seems a bit scary.
Meet the Biird Namii clitoral stimulator and vibrator
Namii is the newest Biird creation. The Namii is a squishy silicone sex toy that comes in three pretty pastel colours; purple, peach, and light blue.
The blue Namii Jouissance Club Edition costs £10 more, but inside you get a box of goodies including a necklace, bookmark, print, stickers, bag and a book of tips.

Biird Namii clitoral stimulator and vibrator review
Not only has it got power behind it, it’s also super pretty and comes with light up display charger which doubles as a mood light so you can see what you’re doing. It’s easier than fumbling for a lightswitch, and nicer than doing it in the dark,

It has two buttons on the bottom; hold in the O for suction (and then press to cycle through five intensities) and hold the 〰 button in for vibrations which has three intensities two patterns. Press and hold to switch off, give it a wipe over and pop it back into its storage cradle. Easy peasy.

It’s fairly difficult to objectively review sex toys so for this Biird Namii review, I’ve summarised the key points below. If you have one, feel free to leave your own review in the comments!
Pros of the Biird Namii clitoral stimulator and vibrator:
- Near-instant orgasm. That’s the biggie. It works, and it works well. That’s pretty much all the Namii review you need, but I’ll keep going…
- Really quiet so you don’t have to worry about the neighbours wondering what you’re up to, or the kids waking up. You could probably get away with it while someone was asleep next to you, but I’d probably suggest waking them up and getting them involved instead.
- Waterproof so you can destress in the bath – after all, that’s what door locks are for.
- Easy to clean – can just rinse under the tap.
- Cute AF – much less intimidating to sex toy newbies than a big purple throbbing cock.
- Feels soft and tactile. It’s just nice!
- Also acts as a nightlight so you don’t have to do it in the dark – you can switch this on and off with the button on the back.
- Charges really easily and quickly (about two hours) and then you can use it for 2-3 hours before it needs recharging.
- Can be hands free for, er, interesting zoom meetings.
- Has five suctions intensities and can also deliver vibrations. The lowest suction level is noticeable, and the highest is really pretty powerful indeed.
- Has a travel lock; hold the O and 〰 buttons until the red light blinks to lock and then unlock in the same manner. This means no embarrassing moments at the baggage carousel at Heathrow. Not that that’s a thing that’s happened ever and certainly not to me.

Cons:
- As with all clitoral suckers it has to be positioned just right to do its job effectively, which might make it less suited to couple’s play than a magic wand for instance.
- You can’t reduce the suction or intensity, only increase it. To decrease the suction level or intensity, you need to cycle through all levels.
- With an RRP of £99 or £109 for the pastel blue Namii Jouissance Club Edition, the Biird Namii clitoral stimulator and vibrator is more expensive and luxe than some toys on the market such as the Satisfyer Pro which is a budget sex toy delivering a similar function. However it doesn’t have the same feel or look as the Namii, which is a really good quality toy that works.
