If the Easter holidays taught me anything, then it’s the value of kids being independent. It makes the difference between waking up at the crack of dawn, or having a lie in; getting up every ten minutes to play drink and snack slave and being able to sit in the garden and read a book.
We were offered a Kuhla mini tabletop fridge to review and I thought it would be a great idea to stock it up so that the kids are able to help themselves; the main fridge is quite small and it can be a bit of a balancing act in there, and the top shelves are too high for them to reach… This way, all of their drinks and snacks would be in one place and easily accessible to them.
And you never know, if that didn’t work out, it would make a handy wine fridge when the summer rolls around.
The Kuhla mini fridge is very easy to set up.
Once delivered, place it where you want it to go and leave it there for a few hours before plugging it in and allowing it to get to temperature. It’s then ready to be stocked full of drinks and food – it even has a small freezer compartment in the top right hand size for making ice – or storing ice creams.
The mini tabletop fridge measures 43L in capacity, which is enough space for around 40 cans of 330ml drink (30 cans of 440ml beer) whilst being small enough to go under a desk, or on top of a kitchen work surface for example.
It has door compartments (usually used for milk – or wine! – and condiments in this house) and a removable wire rack inside so that you can have two shelves, or one large space inside. It has an adjustable temperature, and adjustable feet to keep it balanced, and you can change the way the door hangs to make it easy to use wherever you place it.
I have noticed that the Kuhla mini tabletop fridge is very quiet and you could have it in an office etc without causing a distraction. You can’t hear it over a telly or if people are talking you can’t hear it.
The Kuhla tabletop mini fridge is perfect for a garden room, games room or home office so that you can keep your milk for tea and coffee and other drinks and snacks chilled have everything within easy reach while you work or play. I will find it very useful at those times when extra storage space is required in the kitchen, such as at around Christmas or party time when there are extra food and drinks and the normal fridge is full to bursting!
The only thing worthy of a mention is that it doesn’t have a light inside it like a normal full-sized fridge.
How much and where to buy
The plain black fridge (along with the plain white) costs £109.99, while the fridges with funky designs on them cost £139.99.
There are 18 different designs; we went for plain black which isn’t the most exciting, not because we’re totally boring but in rented accommodation you just don’t know what is going to go and black goes with everything! However because the rest of the appliances in the house are integrated, it will soon be covered in a collection of colourful fridge magnets.

Having a separate fridge for the kids is such a good idea and this looks like a great fridge. My eldest keeps talking about wanting one in her bedroom for chocolate and drinks. x
