Xander Kostroma is a jewellery maker and brand. They make beautiful gold and silver-plated nickel-free jewellery and homewares featuring semi-precious stones sold via their website and various British online retailers.

I first worked with Xander back on Mother’s Day, when I was sent a pretty crystal suncatcher which brings light and sparkle into my home even on a dull day.

This summer, he reached out again to see if I’d be interested in taking a look at the new collection of crystal homeware which includes tea strainers and wine bottle stoppers featuring semi-precious stones. As much as I do love a cup of tea, I thought I’d opt for the more on-brand wine bottle stopper. After all, sometimes it’s a good idea to leave the rest of the wine for another time… And even if I never manage to save wine for the next day, it’s a pretty, sparkly thing to have!

As with the other crystal homewares and jewellery on the website, the wine bottle stoppers are all handmade in small batches. Each one features a beautiful agate crystal; I decided that I would like the deep green colour to go with the hues of my front room.

Agate itself is said to ‘cleanses and stabilise the aura while eliminating and transforming negativity’ I’m not entirely sure about that, but I don’t want any negativity when I’m drinking wine so it’s better to be safe than sorry. It certainly catches the light in a truly beautiful way.

With the stopper itself made from plated metal in a light gold colour, the crystal is dyed with a gold finish around the edges. Being handmade from natural materials, every bottle stopper is entirely unique.

Each one ordered comes beautifully gift wrapped too. Presented in branded tissue paper and a pouch branded with the Xander Kostroma sugar skull logo, so you can send a wine bottle stopper as a thoughtful gift through the post and give your recipient something exciting to unwrap.
