It’s good to make an effort to make changes ot bad habits, some are worst for you than others, however, even small changes get you heading in the right direction. Some of the changes you should think about making include:

Using Technology Before You Sleep

You hear it time and time again that you should get between seven and nine hours of sleep each night. Part of this is having a good routine. A good bedtime routine shouldn’t involve technology, especially just before you plan to sleep. Using your laptop, gaming, or your mobile phone before you sleep can be the real reason you’re finding it hard to switch off. If you want to help yourself get better quality of sleep, you should aim to stay away from tech at least an hour before you aim to sleep. You may even want to set yourself a reminder to start settling down.

Smoking

No bad habit list would be complete without recommending that you quit smoking. And although it is easier said than done, the benefits far outweigh the stress of actually doing it. Smoking lowers your life expectancy puts you at risk of things like strokes, heart diseases, and life-long issues such as bronchitis. Vaping isn’t exempt from this but some people have used them as a way to curb their cravings with vape juice on their journey to quitting completely. If you are thinking about quitting for good make sure you get the support that you need.

Being Lazy

Getting rest is certainly not bad for you, but it should be in moderation. If you become lazy, get too much sleep, and forget to make an effort to move it can be bad for your health. Although it can be daunting, especially if you haven’t done any exercise in a while, getting around 30 mins of exercise five days of the week is important. Once you make it part of your routine, it will feel normal and become easier. If you are looking ot manage your weight and look after your heart then adding in additional cardio is an effective way to support your goals. If you want to focus on building strong bones, build your muscles, and look after your general health, add some strength training to your routine. It’s said that if you do something for 3 months it becomes a habit and part of your routine, so try to replace your lazy time with a little more activity

These three habits should definitely be some of the ones the tick off your list first. Do you have any other habits you are trying to break? Or do you have any other ideas that could help? Please share them in the comments below.
