Playmobil has always been a favourite toy. I like Playmobil as it is sturdy and suitable for a wide age range; the children have played with it since they were toddlers and still get a lot of use out of it now, often setting up whole Playmobil worlds that encourage them to use their imaginations to play, fairly quietly and independently, for hours at a time.

Generally we go for large sets – including dinosaurs, knights and dragons, an aquarium, a food truck and a clothes shop – a few of which we’ve been sent to review but many others have been bought as gifts or passed down from older friends and relatives.

Playmobil EverDreamerz series 2: Comic World Big Surprise Boxes

EverDreamerz are the latest collectible Playmobil series aimed at children aged 7 and up who like bright, colourful, punky, comic-book type fashion.

Playmobil are no strangers to collectibles; over the years they have released a number of little blind-bagged figures which come with a few accessories.

There are two types of EverDreamerZ collectibles; the five girls, which come at a higher price point of £14.99 and 12 smaller blind boxed characters which have an RRP of £5.99.

The large boxed Playmobil EverDreamerz offer a whole unboxing experience.

There are five Playmobil EverDreamerz big surprise boxes to collect. The characters are based on the EverDreamerz YouTube series; Viola, Rosalee, Clare, Starleen and Edwina.

You can see the character on the box before you buy, although the accessories inside are a surprise (and I’ll try not to ruin it too much in this post as that’s half the fun!).

In the first series of the collectibles, the girls visited Candy World and this time they are in Edwina’s Comic World, featuring bright, fun outfits and accessories.

Unwrap each box to reveal three boxes; inside each box is a plastic package. There are also two inside the gaps in the box, giving you five bags of surprises to open up!

The boxes aren’t sealed and are designed to be reused to store your character and accessories, or perhaps use for gifts.

What is inside the box?

In each large EverDreamerz box you get 30 pieces in total, including:

  • One character with hair and removable skirt
  • A figure stand
  • A bag
  • Accessories which vary from character to character but include things like paint pots, pens, cameras, watches, necklaces and teddy bears!
  • A cute colour-coordinated pet (a flamingo, llama, cat, meerkat or panda)
  • A water-reveal comic book sign and comic, and Playmobil water pen
  • A rubber bracelet with charm and beads
  • Collector’s card
  • Stickers

The water-reveal stickers must first be applied to the comic book and signs so they are ready to use. Fill up the water pen by unscrewing the top and holding under the tap, you can then use the pen normally only rather than ink, water will come out of it.

When wet, the stickers will go from blank to bright and colourful! When they dry out, they’ll go back to blank so you can use them again and again.

The hair and skirts are mix and match, so if you have more than one EverDreamerz figure you can change up their look! Some characters have extra sections of hair that you can pop on and off to change the style.

What did we like?

The unboxing was fun and didn’t create too much un-recycleable waste with the majority being cardboard, and we particularly liked the reusable boxes.

The bright colours and cartoon style outfits are really cool, and the little pets and wearable bracelets are a nice touch.

The water pens are fun but probably won’t get used terribly often and the very small plastic parts, for example the pens seen in the picture below, were lost before we had even finished opening the boxes!

Blind box EverDreamerz

The smaller blind boxes contain one bag to open. Inside you’ll find one of 12 new characters, as well as a card, pencil charm (which you can use on you bracelet), sticker and small accessories.

They don’t come with the comic book, pet, water pen or bracelet but they are still fun and the surprise element and price point are appealing! We will definitely be collecting a few more although we were lucky to get two coveted characters: Mrs Unicorn and Justin Time.

The Playmobil EverDreamerz characters (and the charms they come with) are shown in the collector’s list:
