SuperZings: Rivals of Kaboom heroes and and villains collectibles

Thanks for visiting our SuperZings review. What are Superzings you ask? Why, they’re the Next Big Thing! To see our Superzings blind bag unboxing video, scroll down! If you’re looking for information on SuperZings Series 2, click here!

We (well, the kids!) love mini collectibles, so SuperZings: Rivals of Kaboom – Series 1 ‘Heroes and Villains’ were bound to be up our alley.

What are SuperZings?

Aimed at children aged 4-8 SuperZings are small rubbery blind bagged collectibles. They are very similar to Zomlings, however instead of little monsters they are brightly coloured everyday objects (for example a tennis racket, a watering can or a pair of scissors) which are either superheroes or supervillains.

We received a whole load of SuperZings to review!

This included: ten blind packets (RRP 80p), four Hideout blind packets (RRP £1.50) three Supercars (RRP £2.50), a starter pack (RRP £5) including SuperZings comic, Hideout, SuperZings and Superblaster, and a blister pack (RRP £7) containing two Hideouts a Superblaster and 4 SuperZings.SuperZings Review: Rivals of Kaboom blind bags - What are SuperZings?

There are 6 silver and 2 ‘rare’ gold Superzings (and the ‘super rare’ Enigma SuperZing). Each of the other 36 little SuperZings comes in two different colours meaning there are over 80 to collect.

All of the characters have their own arch nemesis; a hero tomato is paired with a villain tomato ketchup bottle, some yarn with a pair of scissors. It’s quite a cute little twist.

You can see all of the characters to collect in the little insert which comes in each pack, or in the comic book which comes in the starter pack. The comic also has a little story about the characters which is a nice touch.

They also have accessories!

Hideouts (which the Superzings live in) and Supercars which can be used with the Superzings. Both come with a little superhero or villain.

At £1.50 and £2.50 each, and including a SuperZing collectible, these are a great pocket money buy.Superzings Supercars - What are SuperZings?

The blister pack gives you one rare silver Superzing as well as three others (two in blind bags) and two hideouts. This comes in at £7.

You also get a Superblaster (which I managed to work out how to use after a while – just ram it in! See the video below…). I’ll be honest I removed this as the kids already have enough pieces of plastic and ways to injure each other!

The children had a great time unboxing the SuperZings: Rivals of Kaboom mini collectibles.

The colourful, cartoon-character appearance really appealed to them. Both children have continued to play with them using them their little superheroes and villains in all sorts of games! For the money – 80p each – I think they’re really fun and my children will enjoy collecting them.

We were lucky that out of all the packs that we received we only had two duplicates, including one silver SuperZing. I guess we will have to find someone to swap with!
