Since we got the world’s hairiest dog, I feel like I’ve spent upwards of a quarter of my waking hours vacuuming or emptying vacuums. Dear lord.
She’s cute and all but I wasn’t prepared for the winter shedding we just suffered through. It was brutal. My little army of robot vacuums helped us through but even they struggled to keep up.
As luck would have it, a brand new Ultenic U12 Vesla Cordless Vacuum arrived for me to review.
Now, I must say I’m conflicted about it.
On the plus side, it is simple to use, it works great on hard floors with four different suction strengths, it’s really lightweight and easy to move (so I’ve got the kids in on it), it looks pretty swish with a ‘car dashboard’ type control panel which tells you exactly how long you’ve got left on the battery, it’s got a decent dustbox capacity, and best of all it has special ‘GreenEye technology’ which shows you where all the dust and dog hair on your floor is.
On the downside now I know where all the dust and dog hair on my floor is. My old vacuum never let me know what filth and squalor I was living in and I am undecided as to whether I’m here for it…
Jokes aside, this little machine runs for around half an hour on one charge (depending on the suction speed – it can go as long as 45 minutes) and comes with two crevice tools and a wall bracket which is vital as it doesn’t stand up on its own.
