With Christmas literally a matter of days away (HOW?!) it might be that you’re suddenly panicking about presents. Maybe you’ve had COVID to deal with, maybe you’re playing safe and not going to the shops, maybe you’re just disorganised, or just maybe you wrote off your car and moved house this week and only just got the internet (just me? Just me*).

Last week I went into London to use my Buyagift voucher.
The experience that my friend and I chose at fairly late notice (things like wine tastings, spa days and stays probably need a week or so’s pre-planning, but we booked ours with two days’ notice) was eating and drinking as much sushi and wine as we could at Inamo Japanese restaurant in Covent Garden (although there’s a second one in Soho). The deal included unlimited Sushi, ordered via a tablet on the table, and constant top ups of wine (you can also choose from beer or soft drinks) for one and a half decadent hours.
There was a decent selection of sushi (including my favourite, sashimi, which is usually one of the most expensive and the first one to disappear off the ‘unlimited’ menu!) and other Asian-style tapas, and the wine was very drinkable. The food came very quickly once you’d clicked ‘order’ – and you could order as much as you liked without having to wait. Oh, and there was an interactive table you could play games on, but that’s not really my thing so I didn’t use that…
It’s fair to say, we more than made our trip to Inamo worth it. I wasn’t hungry for ages afterwards.
Yes, we could have had a night away, an afternoon tea, a wine tasting, a boat trip, or a day of sport… but we chose food and booze, and I have zero regrets.
