Note: This post was written in collaboration with Zita West. You can get supplements from Zita West suitable from trying to conceive, conception to birth and beyond. I have not personally tried the Body Balm or Back Ease Massage Oil offered as prizes here.
I was recently approached to review some lovely skincare supplements, but with them being aimed at pregnant and new mums, and with me very much NOT being pregnant, or by any stretch of the imagination a new mum, I thought I’d offer them out to my followers to win!
Here’s a little bit about the prizes:

Beautiful Belly Balm

Stretch marks are one of those delightful side effects of pregnancy. With my first baby, I didn’t get them at all – until the day after she was due to be hoiked out (it’s a long story – which you can read here). With the second, they were everywhere from day one and I hated them!
How you feel about the appearance of stretch marks is of course an issue; many people see them as a sign that they’ve grown new life and are rightfully proud of them. I wish I had that kind of body confidence. However the itchiness and soreness that stretch marks caused is the thing I most remember. It wasn’t fun (not that I enjoyed being pregnant full stop really!).
Aimed at mums-to-be, Zita West’s Beautiful Belly Balm is made with aloe vera which helps to alleviate the horrible soreness caused by stretchmarks, and sweet almond oil to sooth dry skin. It also contains jojoba oil helps to lighten and fade existing scars.
There are also benefits of belly massage in pregnancy; it increases blood flow, helps digestion and even releases oxytocin (the ‘love’ hormone’) helping expectant mums to bond with their babies.
The Zita West Beautiful Belly Balm usually retails at £24, although you can currently get 20% off site wide.
Back Ease Massage Oil

One thing that the glowing reports of pregnancy don’t tell you is that unless you’re one of the lucky few, everything hurts. Honestly, by the end I just wanted to make a nest and collapse.
Massage when pregnant can help to relieve tired and overworked muscles, and helps with stress and insomnia. It can do all those things when you’re not pregnant in fairness, but you’re more likely to be able to force your partner into helping you out when you’re miserably fat carrying their child.
(Sorry if I’m putting you off the whole thing, but if you’re this easily persuaded then maybe having kids is not for you).
The Zita West Back Ease Massage Oil contains Peach Kernel Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Lemon and Lime Essential Oils and Vitamin E. It costs £22 at full price.
Read NCT guidance on safe massage in pregnancy.
