If you’re going to book a surprise break away, make sure that you check your partner’s passport is in date and valid and that they can get the time off work. Make An Indoor Picnic
The weather isn’t always conducive to al fresco dining, but that’s not a problem if you have an indoor picnic. This is a great way to surprise your loved one, and it’s very romantic too.
If you have an open fire (and the weather calls for it), make sure it’s lit, and place a blanket on the floor in front of it. Even without a fire, the blanket is still an important part of the process. Light candles and turn the lights down low and put on some romantic music. Try to resist the urge to turn the television on, even if it’s in the room with you; you need to concentrate on one another, not what’s happening on screen.
As for the food, it really doesn’t have to be anything fancy. You can make sandwiches, for example, or cook a pizza and slice it up. Supermarkets often carry a range of ‘part food’ that can be cooked quickly and served. Or why not simply get some melted chocolate and some items such as strawberries and marshmallows to dip into it? That’s extremely romantic.

Make A Photo Album
Not many people print their photos these days; most of the best images we take are stored on our phones or computers, so we don’t get to see them all that often. Your partner will love looking through the pages and enjoying the memories that the individual images will bring.
