This is a collaborative post: Tier 3 lockdown has put paid to the idea of a girls’ night out this year, but the good news is there are plenty of ways to make a girls night online just as fun. If you want to stay wrapped up this weekend but still want to gossip with your girlfriends, we have some inspiration for you.
Grab a glass of red or a mug of hot cocoa, turn on your Zoom, and consider these ideas for a virtual girlie get-together.
1. Online Cooking Classes
Providers of cooking classes are taking their services online and helping you to have a cooking class with your friends from home. Simply enrol into a course, have ingredients delivered to your door and start cooking with your friends and a private chef instructor. Or you could always bake over Zoom together without paying for the class.

2. Play Games Together
Social gaming is big business, and there are lots of social games you can play with friends online. Many of these games don’t always come with video calling as well, but you can still set that up yourself and online play games as a group. Or if you want to up the stakes, why not play casino games like bingo. Even if bingo isn’t your thing, there are new casino games that ladies seem to love, such as playing Mega Ball Casino Game online. This game is a unique casino game that is played live with a game show feel – and it comes with a female host.
3. Yoga and Fitness Classes
If you and your friends are feeling sports or want to get healthier, working out together is a great way to maintain motivation and increase your accountability to turn up. But you don’t have to leave home to work out together anymore. You could always enrol into virtual yoga and fitness classes concurrently. Or if you would rather save some money, use YouTube and alike to find a free fitness class that you can do over Zoom.

4. Wine and Crafts
Wine and craft evenings have become a big thing with friends meeting up at galleries to take part in painting and sculpting while having a glass or two. They can be a fantastic way to unwind, catch up and explore your creative side. Some providers of these events have taken their services online, and you can buy painting sets which will be delivered to your door. Alternatively, order some paint and paintbrushes yourself, pick up a bottle and fill the cupboard with snacks. There is no reason why you can’t create your own virtual wine and craft event.
5. Virtual Movie Nights
Of course, you could just stick with the classic night-in activity and have a movie night. Virtual movie nights are made possible because most of the best video call software has the ability to share screens. You can all watch your favourite Netflix series or movies together and see each other and how you react to the film. And the best bit of all? You won’t have to share the popcorn!
