The Geomag Confetti sets are great for children of any age over three, as they are a really flexible construction toy which can be used in loads of ways.
The 127 piece kit contains includes 61 metal spheres, 60 light blue, orange, red and green rods, four square bases and two pentagonal bases which can be used to make constructions a bit more stable.
The pieces come inside polystyrene boxes, however the newer kits being released later this year have reusable, recycled plastic boxes instead which is much more environmentally friendly.
How do the kits work?
The rods are magnetic at both ends, they connect to the spheres which can then be used to connect to other rods at any angle.
There are suggestions on the back of the box, or you can totally freestyle it building whatever you choose.
The rods and balls are the same as in all Geomag kits and therefore are compatible with any existing collections, meaning that imagination really is the limit when it comes to the structures your child can build.

How about a competition to see which child can come up with the most interesting structure?
Or who can make the tallest tower without it collapsing?
Or perhaps call out a 3D shape and see who can make it the quickest?
Can they make the rods spell out their names?
The Geomag Confetti magnetic construction kits come come in a range of different colours; you can even get glittery rods if you think that this will tempt your child into a bit of scientific play.
They’re quite addictive to play with, and if you decant the pieces into a bag or container they don’t take up much space at all. Just make sure to keep them away from laptops etc, and from any small children and pets.
