As his first birthday rapidly approaches, I thought I would pay tribute to my son.
He is a baby no longer.
With under a week until he becomes one year old, he is not as screamy as he once was (although he is more than partial to a good whinge these days, and he still likes to announce his displeasure at anything and everything on a loud and regular basis) and he has learned to sleep an almost acceptable amount, for which I am thankful. It’s not great, but it could be a lot worse.
He no longer vomits over everyone and everything. As predicted, he is now walking. Not just sporadically, a few steps here and there, but full time. No crawling here. He is also climbing up and off of things at an alarming rate.
He’s even started saying a few things. Nothing profound; bit of dadda, calling for the dog, the toddler, a hello or two. I’m in no rush really, I already have a talking one. Once they start they don’t stop.
So, in celebration of my soon-to-be one year old boy, I have compiled some of his best looks.
It’s actually made me quite emotional… I present to you a year of my son’s signature look: worried and surprised.

He was a sunroof baby Nic – all scheduled in and a good night of sleep before hand. Not since mind.
Thank you so much everyone. He had a great birthday. I now officially own two toddlers. It's a scary time to be alive.
