If you’re looking for a great family game for Christmas then take a look at this Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game by Ravensburger!

The Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game is a new board game by Ravensburger, and we were sent a copy to review.

The aim of the game is to get George to the top of the hill, all the way to the Peppa, jumping over the muddy puddles.

The Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game box comes with the ‘game board’ hill which is ready-constructed, 12 George Pig figures in four different colours and 24 playing cards which you first need to detach from their sheets.

The cards are quite thin, so you have to be quite careful with them.

The rules to the Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game are easy to understand.

Each player has three George Pig figures that queue up at the bottom of the hill. You select a card from the shuffled pile; on it is either a character from Peppa with one, two or three muddy puddles, or Peppa herself.

If you get a character card you can move any one of your George Pigs on to the hill; one, two or three puddles as indicated on the card. Any occupied spaces don’t get counted so sometimes it makes more sense to bring a new George Pig on to the hill. It is totally up to you how many pieces you bring into the game, but you only need to get one to the top to Peppa!

If you turn over a Peppa card then you don’t move your George Pig, but instead twist the the large Peppa in the centre clockwise until it clicks.

When Peppa moves, holes suddenly open up on the hill.

If he happens to be standing in the wrong spot, George can fall through; those pieces are then out of the game.

It’s a really fun game, a mixture of skill and chance, and easy to play.

The Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game is suitable for up to four players aged 4+.

The game lasts quite a while; around 15-20 minutes, but is good fun and twisting Peppa around to cause chaos on the board is definitely the best bit!

Older children will definitely enjoy this Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game too; in fact I would recommend this game even for children of ten and over. It’s clever, it’s cute and a bit silly. What’s not to love?

The Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle game has an RRP of £19.99 and can be bought from most good toy shops. It would make a great game to play over Christmas.

It doesn’t require any batteries and it’s simple to play and understand.
