I’ve known Georgia for a long time, but I didn’t know how amazingly talented she was with a sewing machine until early this year when she set up her work-at-home mum business Willow & Friends.
Willow & Friends sells beautiful clothes for babies, children and adults.
Yep, she’s expanded beyond just children’s clothing so if you’ve always fancied twinning with your kids then go right ahead!
They’re all handmade by Georgia – a mum of two and stepmum of one who lives in Medway (don’t hold that against her) – from the most amazing bright and colourful fabrics which she chooses herself. She has a love for Scandi-style clothing and a great eye for bold unisex patterns, and chooses good quality fabric that washes and lasts well whilst also being really comfortable to wear.
She’s since expanded beyond just children’s clothing, making reusable products such as wipes and cloth sanitary pads, so you can do your bit for the environment and support a WAHM business at the same time.
From selling via her Facebook Page, she has recently set up her own website through which you can purchase ready made pieces and make custom orders.
Tasked with choosing something for review, I found it completely impossible.
There are so many stunning fabrics it makes it really hard to pick just one. Fortunately she agreed to surprise me.
Here is what she sent:
Harem shorts in a geometric dinosaur print.
Both my son and I LOVE these.
They’re such a fun, bright print. The jersey fabric is really comfy and the jersey waistband makes it easy for him to pull up and down when going to the toilet.
They would also be perfect for younger children in nappies as they’re roomy enough to fit around even cloth bums.
The cost of the Harem shorts is £11-16 and they can be made up to age 12.
The shorts have now been washed four or five times and they still look great!
Dinosaur and flower print Reuben raglan dress.
Continuing the dinosaur theme but with a very different print; one for the fierce but gentle little girl is this fab dino flower navy blue print!
Comfy and stretchy, it’s a really practical dress that can be worn all year round.
We got this dress in a size bigger so that she could grow into it (which I’m sure she will, very quickly!). This would cost £25 but prices for this dress start at £17 for smaller sizes.
After washing it has kept its colour and shape well with no bobbling of the fabric.
A pair of sunflower print scrundies.
These are some of the comfiest pants I’ve ever worn. I would recommend them to anyone.
Perfect for a baby shower too – everyone knows a mum needs Big Pants. These would cost around £15 but they really are brilliant!
I’m amazed at the quality of the clothes and just what Georgia has achieved in a short space of time since setting up Willow & Friends.
The reviews on her Facebook page speak for themselves. I have already placed another order with her. The clothes are fun, colourful, comfy and the children love wearing them.
Georgia is currently working on a 2-5 week turnaround for clothes dependent on the item, but obviously check before placing your order with her as she will happily keep you updated throughout.
