I spend a lot of time reviewing items for my children, my husband and even the dog, but it’s very rare indeed that I get to treat myself and so when ADEXE London asked if I’d like to review one of their watches, I thought it sounded like a great idea.
I chose this beautiful ADEXE London Watches ‘Freerunner Petite‘ women’s watch in Berries.
I haven’t worn a watch for years but have realised that this has led to me becoming somewhat over-reliant on looking at my phone to determine the time; and whenever I do so there are notifications and I get lost reading emails and tweets and forget to actually look at the time while it slips away.
I thought wearing a watch and leaving my phone in my bag might actually earn me more time!
The watch came packaged in a simple but classy white cardboard box, containing just the watch, a little tissue paper and a small envelope with instructions and a warranty, model number and proof of purchase inside.
Look and feel
The watch has a deep purple face with an antique rose gold-looking Milanese style stainless steel mesh strap with a spring bar.
Although the colours of this particular ADEXE watch are very autumnal and warm (so probably not the best choice for the summer season, but I’ve never been one to go with the crowd…) I thought the colour would go perfectly with my favourite charity shop-bargain handbag so it’s perfect for me!
If the colour doesn’t appeal, the ‘Freerunner’ comes in various other colours and strap variations; see the range here.
It’s a solid, sleek watch which is comfortable to wear.
The watch has a large, easy-to-read face and a separate second hand for measuring time. The face is a pleasing curved hardened crystal which can be read from any angle.
The time is quick and easy to change; pull out the crown on the side fully to adjust the time and push it in to set. There is no date feature on the ADEXE London Freerunner Petite Ladies Watch; other ranges such as the ‘Meek‘ do have this feature if it’s important to you.
The watch is water resistant to a basic level but must be removed in the shower etc.
The stainless steel strap has a spring bar making it easy to put on and take off, and it is very easily adjustable which is useful when buying a watch online.
