We are very fortunate to be working with Sylvanian Families, who sent us a Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure airship and a Hamster Family for review.

Sylvanian Families are among our most played with toys, and I personally love them, not least because they take me right back to my own childhood.

Their lovely friendly little characters are perfect for encouraging imaginative play and I enjoy listening to my two acting out stories with the little animals, when they aren’t fighting…

So without further ado, meet the newest members of our Sylvanian Families collection!Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure airship skyride with Hamster Family and Toy Poodle Twins

The Hamster Family (and Toy Poodle babies)

The four-person Hamster family comes with mummy, daddy, brother and sister. Just like any Sylvanian Families family they are cute and fuzzy, they have little beige noses and brown tips to their ears.

You can move their arms and legs so that they can sit down, and their little outfits are removable. My daughter has trouble getting the clothes back on as they’re small and fiddly, so I don’t encourage this!

I particularly like Daddy Hamster’s natty cap.

The Toy Poodle babies come with nappies, a dummy and a bottle that you can fit in their mouths.

The Hamster Family and their adoptive babies having a picnic. Let’s hope they don’t grow up and eat their adoptive parents.

These pieces are quite small, and easily lost, so if your child is young you might want to put these away until they’re slightly older (I’m definitely talking about my own kids here).

The Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure airship

It’s up, up and away with the Sylvanian Families pedal-powered airship ‘Sky Ride Adventure’.

Big enough to seat two adult/child Sylvanians and one baby, the airship is the perfect mode of transport to take to a Sylvanian Families picnic.

It comes with a little story book and a blue bird (who fits on to the frame), as well as a picnic blanket and food for your picnic.

These picnic accessories can be kept inside the little picnic hamper, which then fits onto the airship.

The figures are sold separately.

The balloon itself is made from hard plastic covered in fabric. The whole thing is very sturdy and robust, which was my only concern before opening the box.

Even the patterned ‘metal work’ doesn’t feel like it would snap; a four year old should be perfectly fine with the whole thing.

Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure airship (156)I love the detail on the Sky Ride Adventure; the propellers and the wheels go round when pushed and the canisters at the back and the design is just so quaint and in keeping with the rest of the Sylvanian world.

The bright orange pattern on the balloon is fun and it’s a very attractive looking ride!Sylvanian Families Skyride Adventure airship (156)

The Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure is a lovely add-on to the Doll’s House and Cosy Cottage Starter Home where our Sylvanian Families live.

I am sure that the whole collection will be very well loved.

The Sylvanian Family Sky Ride Adventure has an RRP of £22.99 although at the time of writing was available for less on Amazon.

The Hamster Family retails at £19.99 and the Toy Poodle twins at £9.99. They can be bought from good toy shops or though Amazon using the affiliate links below.

Visit the official Sylvanian Families website, or follow them on Twitter or Facebook for up to date information. There is a fabulous new Town House collection being released this year as well as exciting news about new products, so do watch out for those!

We were sent the Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure and Hamster family free for the purposes of this review but words my and pictures are my own.
