If you’re looking for a great family game for Easter then take a look at Funny Bunny by Ravensburger!

Funny Bunny is a new board game by Ravensburger, and we were sent a copy to review!

The aim of the game is to be the first to get your bunny to the top of the hill, all the way to the carrot.

The Funny Bunny box comes with the ‘game board’ rabbit hill which is ready-constructed, sixteen rabbits in four different colours and 48 cards which you first need to detach from their sheets.

The cards are quite thin, so you have to be quite careful with them (something my four year old is not!).

The rules to Funny Bunny are fairly simple.

Each player has four bunnies that queue up at the bottom of the hill. You select a card from the shuffled pile; on it is either a bunny or a carrot.

If you get a bunny card you can move any one of your bunnies on to the hill; one, two or three spaces as indicated. Any occupied spaces don’t get counted so sometimes it makes more sense to bring a new bunny on to the hill. It is totally up to you how many bunnies you bring into the game, but you only need to get one to the top.

If you turn over a carrot card then you don’t move your bunny, but instead twist the carrot in the centre clockwise until it clicks.

When the carrot moves, it opens up a whole lot of mischief on the bunnies’ hill!

Rabbit holes suddenly open up on the hill which, if they happen to be standing in the wrong spot, the bunnies can fall through; those pieces are then out of the game.

There are also obstacles that can befall the bunnies; they can be pushed off the hill by a mole and go all the way back to the beginning, they might be pushed down to a different space by a gate, or trapped by the drawbridge!

It’s a really fun game, a mixture of skill and chance, and unlike anything that we have played as a family before.

Funny Bunny is suitable for up to four players aged 4+.

Our game lasted quite a while; around 15-20 minutes which is a fair ask for a four year old but good fun. They definitely enjoyed twisting the carrot and causing mayhem!

Older children will definitely enjoy Funny Bunny; in fact I would recommend this game even for children of ten and over. It’s clever, it’s cute and a bit silly. What’s not to love?

And I’m not just saying that because I won…

Funny Bunny has an RRP of £19.99 and can be bought from most good toy shops, but is currently priced at under £10 on Amazon using the affiliate link below which is, in my opinion, an absolute bargain. It would be a perfect family game to play over Easter!

It doesn’t require any batteries and it’s simple to play and understand.  We loved it!
