As part of the Hasbro Star Wars: The Last Jedi bundle, we received an Interactech Kylo Ren Electronic Figure for review.
We gave him to the kids for Christmas and having seen the original Star Wars Trilogy and The Force Awakens, they were really excited to find out what he did!
Interactech Kylo Ren Electronic Figure
The figure is 12 inches tall, just slightly taller than a standard Barbie doll, and can stand up on its feet without support, unlike a lot of the dolls we have.
His arms and legs move and you can swivel his hands, but he isn’t jointed.
Interactech Kylo Ren is made of very sturdy plastic and is very detailed. He looks just like Kylo Ren in the The Last Jedi but with a slightly more chiselled jaw and huge eyebrows. Personally I think it’s quite a flattering likeness.
When the switch on the back is pressed all the way to the right (mode II, as mode I is demo mode) Kylo Ren comes alive.
We found the switch a little sticky at first and I wasn’t sure whether it had clicked into the correct position but it appears fine now after a bit of use.
To make him say phrases from Star Wars: The Last Jedi press his belt button. He also has a clever motion sensor and if you shake him vigorously in any direction, or make him stamp on the ground he will make Star Wars battle sounds, and his lightsaber glows red. He has over 60 phrases and sounds in all.
If he has his helmet on then he says different phrases and if you hold him upside down or put him on his back he groans, conceding defeat.
Here are just a few of the things he says…
The only problem we found was that the lightsaber ‘blade’ came our quite easily. As it’s transparent this has lead to it being lost a few times – or did before I gave it a dab of superglue.
The Hasbro Interactech Kylo Ren has an RRP of £37.99 but I have seen it a lot cheaper online including at Amazon (see affiliate link below).
We were sent this Star Wars: The Last Jedi toys as part of the Hasbro Toy Tribe. All pictures and words are my own.
