It’s Christmas, and among other things that means the inevitable search for presents for people who are really hard to buy for; otherwise known as men.
Fortunately my husband is alright, as long as you stick to Lego or socks, but after ten years or so you have to mix it up a bit.
This year I thought I’d surprise him and go off-list with an Anthony James London vintage men’s watch.
(Don’t worry, he’ll be getting Lego too).
The watch came well presented in a box with a sprung lid embossed on this inside and outside, and padded on the inside.
It is very classy and does make the Anthony James London vintage watch a good gift; it definitely has the appearance of a luxury item.
Look and feel
The Anthony James London vintage men’s watch we were sent to review is black, with a black dial and rose gold hands and Roman numerals. It has a white date window, presumably to make the small numbers clear enough to see.
The dial is not overly fussy, which I quite like, and the time is very easy to read which is very important!.
My husband has a watch already; several in fact, but unfortunately none have the date on them (insert some dreadfully sexist and pretty inaccurate joke about remembering anniversaries here). This Anthony James London vintage watch has a second dial and the date which is great and he’ll love.
The time and date are quick and easy to change; pull out the crown on the side fully to adjust the time and push it in slightly (one click) to change the date and fully (two clicks) to set them.
It has a stainless steel strap which is easily adjustable; which is also important when buying a watch online.
Finally it is water resistant to 30m although we did not put this to the test.
All in all it is an attractive men’s watch at what I think is a good price.
Each watch is guaranteed for five years and they also offer a 60 day money back guarantee so you can return for up to two months even if you just change your mind!
