You’ve probably shopped with Tesco, but you may not know that they also sell wine by the case.
Tesco Wine by the Case deliver wine to your door in cases of six bottles. Wine delivery is far easier than trying to carry it all at the supermarket with a small person in tow, and it’s often cheaper than popping to your local shop. Most importantly, you won’t panic-buy and end up buying something you regret. There is nothing sadder than a horrid bottle of wine.
Using the Tesco Wine by the Case website, you can order from the comfort of your own home, research your wine before you buy, and read reviews from other customers.
The wine selection is brilliant; my personal go-to wine is a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and there were 26 to choose from!
If you opt for one of the ‘wines of the week’ you’ll also get a discount; at the time of writing this there were six wines with a discount of between 9 and 27% including two Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs, a Chardonnay, Rioja, Merlot and a Cava.
Delivery for orders over £60 is free (it’s £6 under £60) and you can choose couriered next-day delivery as long as you buy your wine before 3pm, or if you’d prefer, you can select a convenient two-hour time slot to have your wine delivered to you by a Tesco delivery van.
You’ll also be rewarded with TescoClubcard points on your purchase.
This is one of my very favourite wines; so much so that when the case arrived (on my birthday, how good is that?!) I’d already got a bottle as a gift from my sister!
It’s a smooth, very drinkable dry and crisp white wine with fruity notes and is great with food, or on its own, or with salt and cracked black pepper crisps. Honestly, try it.
The case arrived the day after ordering, safely packaged but with no excessive or un-recyclable packaging. There isn’t really a lot more to add on the experience; it was easy and there was very little fuss, and it arrived as expected which is exactly as wine delivery should be!
One thing I really like about the Tesco Wine by the Case site is that you can choose to purchase a mixed case of wine.
They are very reasonably priced and would be perfect if you were hosting a party, or if you just want to try new wines. With Christmas around the corner a mixed case of wine is the perfect way to keep everybody happy, and you’ll have the perfect wine to share with whatever food you serve.
