As a family of board game lovers we are rapidly expanding our collection, and the latest addition is the PJ Masks Night Sight game from Ravensburger.

Aimed at children aged 3 and over, at its core the PJ Masks Night Sight game is a fairly simple memory game, however it has a fun little twist.

The instructions explain that Romeo is stealing toys and the aim is to stop him by remembering where the toys are. However, you can only see the toys at night time when you have your PJ Masks masks on!

Be your favourite PJ Mask character and use your memory to stop Romeo from stealing the toys.

What’s in the box?

You get three playing toy shop ‘cards’ each with three removable shelves with three toys. There are 27 Romeo tiles, and one toy rack with five places on it. It also comes with three PJ Masks masks with special ‘night vision’ so once your kids have finished arguing about who wants to be Catboy, Gecko and Owlette they can have hours of fun pretending everything is pink!

How to play

Don your PJ Masks and take the corresponding toy shop. Select three shelves and put them into your toy shop so that the toys are on the back and the special ‘night vision’ tiles are face up. Place the Romeo cards and the empty Romeo toy stack in the centre.

Using your night sight masks, memorise the toys in your stack, then take off the masks for the game to begin. Select three Romeo cards, and working together to try and place each card in the correct toy shop.

Masks back on, you can check whether you were right; if you were, the toy goes back to the shop. Choose the wrong shop and it goes into Romeo’s toy stack. If he gets five toys, he wins. If he doesn’t, the PJ Masks win!

My two love PJ Masks so I knew this game would be a hit.

It’s aimed at players aged 3+ so understandably it was a little complicated for my youngest who is two, although he made his own fun by wearing the mask and matching the tiles to the underside of his card. However the big one quickly caught on to the rules and between us we managed to beat Romeo several times.

You can play in teams or two or three, so, it’s a fun little game which we can enjoy playing together. It will definitely be a fun family game to play at Christmas. Hopefully by the time the small one is big enough to play along properly we will still have all the pieces!

We were sent the PJ Masks Night Sight game by Ravensburger for free for the purposes of this review. You can find out more here. For more information, visit the Ravensburger website or follow them on Facebook or Twitter.
