PJ Masks is a huge hit in our house. With the kids, I mean.
I don’t hate it, which is a bonus.
We were invited up to Picturehouse Cinema in Leicester Square for an exciting PJ Masks Halloween party.
Despite it being extra busy because of half term, and my previous experience of taking the kids to London on the train, I knew they’d love it. Besides, I do kind of feel like it’s my job to bring joy to the commuters of Kent by providing them with entertainment in the form of two over-excited small children over their morning lattes, so into the diary it went.
The event was fantastic!
All the kids were asked to come dressed in red, blue or green like their favourite PJ Masks character. Many of the children were dressed in full-on PJ Mask gear; the big one has had an Owlette costume for a few months and it was a great excuse to give it another trip out.
They headed straight for the face paint. The small one in particular hates getting it done, but still insists every time. I shouldn’t let him really; it’s now two days and two baths later (no hot water tonight… argh!) and his face is STILL green. Oops.
There was a special PJ Masks Diddi Dance session which they absolutely loved.
They both joined in with the whole thing. I would so love to take them dancing regularly but there isn’t a Diddi Dance local to us.
If there’s one close to you, it is definitely worth noting that there will be special PJ Masks sessions going on this week (30th October-5th November) to raise money for the Youth Sport Trust; more details are available on their site.
After the dance session, the PJ Masks themselves appeared…
‘Are they the real PJ Masks?’
‘Erm… No, they’re people costumes’
There was a bit of crafting, some balloon modelling and lots of food before we all went into the cinema and took our seats to watch some brand new PJ Masks!
Yep – you heard me right parental folks!
There are new episodes, so if you are reciting them in your head every bedtime (because as we all know, that’s the right time to fight crime), you need worry no longer! Tune in to Disney Junior every day at 5.45pm for PJ Masks, and catch the last of the brand-new episodes on Wednesdays in November and December.
On our way out, we received an EPIC goody bag bursting with exciting PJ Masks goodies.
Obviously the kids had opened them and taken everything out before I had so much as a chance to photograph them, but their favourites were the bean plush toys which they now take to their (PJ Mask-fleece-covered) bed and the DVD, which we have watched on every car journey since…
…And the best news is that I blagged an extra one (worth over £60!) for one of my followers!
